Description

After presenting a smaller version of the show due to concerns amid COVID-19 in 2020, the popular Camelback Studio Tour and Art Sale is returns — and is bigger and better than ever! This year’s tour takes place Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14 throughout home art studios in Phoenix and Scottsdale neighborhoods.

The two-day self-guided event now includes even more stops and neighborhoods, during which guests can visit local home art studios, meet the artists, and peruse (and purchase!) one-of-a-kind art pieces for their own homes or to serve as gifts as the holidays approach.

“We are pleased to bring the Camelback Studio Tour and Art Sale back to valley residents and art aficionados,” says Lynn Gustafson of the Camelback Studio Tour and Art Sale. “This outdoor walking tour is a beautiful way to explore local artists’ personal art studios, to meet and chat with artists and to purchase some amazing art for the home as well as artisan items to serve as gifts for the upcoming holidays.”

More than 25 local renowned artists will be represented in this year’s tour, which includes nine residential studio stops. Tour stops include:

Stop 1 – 5909 E. Edgemont Ave., Scottsdale — Borg Metal Art and Pam Harrison Art

Guests can begin their art experience at any point during this free, self-guided tour and traverse the art trail in any fashion they choose such as on foot or bike. While most locations are within close proximity of one another, making walking or biking convenient and fun, transportation via automobile serves as an option for those with a shorter time window in which to visit all the stops.

Out of an abundance of caution surrounding COVID-19, masks and hand sanitizer will be available for guests at every stop. Most studio stops are outside — including open-sided tents, under carports or in the fresh open air. At two stops this year, guests will have the opportunity to stroll through artists’ personal indoor studios. Attendees are required to mask up and are asked to help prevent overcrowding at artists booths by respecting standard six-foot social distancing recommendations.

Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13 and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14. Admission is free. A printable map and more details on the Camelback Studio Tour and Art Sale can be found online at www.camelbackstudiotour.com.
