“Spark: Downtown Mesa Art Market” Event Hosted by Soul Center: A Place for CommUnity in Partnership with Phoenix Creative Relief

Community Event to Raise Money for local artists affected by pandemic

“Spark: Downtown Mesa Art Market” is an event to help raise funds for local artists that have lost income and been denied unemployment during the pandemic. Soul Center: A Place for CommUnity and Wellness, Phoenix Creative Relief Fund, and the Downtown Mesa Association are asking the community to come together in a time of need.

This free event will contain several vendors and creatives from different parts of Arizona. Soul Center will enforce CDC compliant social distancing between all participants. There will be several different types of performance artists and vendors including:

• Live music and DJs

• Flow artists

• Dancing

• Painters

• Jewelry

• Local plant based food, juice, and smoothie vendors

This is a free event, there is no ticket fee to attend. Instead Soul Center asks that a donation be made to the Phoenix Creative Relief Fund. There will also be raffle opportunities for visitors to contribute to. All proceeds from the raffle will go towards the Phoenix Creative Relief Fund.

For those that cannot attend the event in person, a GoFundMe has been created that will be raising money through December. The funds raised will be split amongst the Phoenix artists that submitted applications for relief funds. Donations can be made here: https://gf.me/u/yqi57s
