Light Up a Life is an annual community event in remembrance of loved ones who have died. Every year as we start into the holiday season, we cherish this special opportunity to come together and celebrate those who have brightened our lives. A stunning photographic tribute set to live choir music and projected against the night sky is the highlight of the event.

Debbie Shumway, executive director of Hospice of the Valley, Lin Sue Cooney, director of community engagement, and iconic Valley radio and TV personality Pat McMahon will host the program.

In 2018, about 1,500 people from all over the Valley attended Light Up a Life. This year, as the event continues to grow, we received a record number of photos for the tribute — more than 900 — and are expecting an even larger turnout. This event is open to the community, whether or not Hospice of the Valley cared for the person being remembered. There’s no cost to attend or submit a photo (deadline has closed).
