Hunkapi Programs, an equine-therapy farm in the heart of Scottsdale, is excited to celebrate 20 years of service on Saturday, August 10th. The community is encouraged to join the tribe for a delicious potluck style celebration on the Manna Lawn at 6 p.m. Those interested in attending are asked to bring an ethically sourced or vegetarian dish for everyone to enjoy, that doesn’t include diary. Adult beverages are also welcome

Since its inception, Hunkapi has focused its service toward working with under-served children and adolescents with special needs. The program has evolved to also include adults with trauma and addiction disorders, corporate team building, mindfulness programs and somatic trauma healing. Today, Hunkapi is housed on a 10 acre farm, home to 25 horses and a menagerie of rescued animals including 2 pigs, 1 dairy steer, 20 hens, and varying number of dogs...depending on the day.
