The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is unfurling its 9th annual 4th of July Freedom Fest, featuring a vintage air show, three tribute band concerts, four nights of fireworks, all-American fare, military tributes and poolside fun, with vacation packages benefitting military families, July 4-6, 2019.

Saluting Heroes & Vintage Air Shows Saluting America’s heroes, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess will host a vintage air show July 4, where 52 vintage military aircraft that flew in World War II, Korea and in Vietnam will fly over the resort, piloted by retired veterans. The air show concludes with a military parachutist from the All Veterans Parachute Team soaring through the skies and landing with American and military flags. Miniature flags will be provided to guests on the ground to cheer on the crews.

Fairmont Freedom Fest Tribute Concerts & Fireworks Revelers can dance and celebrate with live music under the stars at the Princess Lagoon Lawn. The Freedom Fest tribute concerts, with a patriotic introduction and fireworks intermission, are complimentary for overnight guests. Diners are encouraged to enjoy the festivities, just spend $75 in La Hacienda, Bourbon Steak, Toro Latin Restaurant & Rum Bar or Ironwood American Kitchen and they will receive four complimentary wristbands; a $25 spend is required for each additional wristband.

Patriotic, Poolside! Celebrating America, poolside is the place to be. Sunset Beach is the resort’s newest and largest pool, a 7,000-sq.-ft. paradise at the Princess with 830 tons of soft, chilled white sand, splash pad, glamorous cabanas and swimming with mermaids. At the 6,000 square-foot Sonoran Splash pool complex, families can have a ball racing down two 200-foot waterslides, while the Superhero FUN Team is on deck leading games with music from DJ Splash. Red, white and blue frozen drinks and watermelon eating contests round-out the fun. At night, the Sonoran Splash pool transforms into the Techno Glo Party, with fog, lasers and LED hula hoopers. Superheroes will be patrolling the resort, making sure to strike power poses with all guests.

Summer Vacation Packages The summer’s popular Superhero Summer Package, where all young superheroes get a cape, mask and tote with Hero H20. Rates start at $189 and includes a $50 daily resort credit at any of the resort’s five award-winning restaurants and bars, or at Well & Being Spa – which will features adult superhero training classes like Bungee Bounce and Wall Yoga. The Superhero Summer Package also includes a $10 daily donation to Cox Charities, benefitting non-profit organizations who act as real-life superheroes to children throughout the Valley.
