Description

Rusconi’s American Kitchen invites diners to come in as guests and leave as friends on Monday, December 24, as the restaurant’s family celebrates Christmas Eve with a special three-course menu. Guests can select a starter, a main entrée and a dessert of choice from the following selection of dishes artfully created by chef and owner Michael Rusconi:

Starters:

  • Leek and Fennel Soup with wild-caught crab ravioli
    • Lobster Bisque with Key West shrimp
    • Amish Blue Cheese and Apple Pear Salad with small field greens, spiced pecans and maple dressing
    • Warm Goat Cheese with Lola Rosa and Frisée, golden beets, spiced pine nuts and viognier vinaigrette and its syrup
    • Blue Crab and Shrimp Cake with lobster butter, tiny greens and preserved Meyer lemon
    • Boneless Beef Short Rib with Vanilla-scented Kabocha Squash, dark chocolate demi and carrot jus
    • “RAK” Caesar Salad with roasted corn relish, roasted pepper garlic dressing, cilantro pesto and San Joaquin gold

Main Entrees:

  • Grilled Breast Of Natural Chicken with kabocha squash risotto, pearl onions, small green beans
  • Roasted Natural Pork Tenderloin with fall squash, wilted organic spinach, tiny green beans and apple jus
  • Wood-grilled Aged Black Angus New York Strip Steak with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, grilled carrots, crisp onions and horseradish cream
  • Garlic and Herb Crusted Rack Of Lamb with yellow corn polenta, garlic confit, braised fennel and olive jus
  • Nixon Square Meyer Lemon and Agave Glazed Salmon with herb spaetzle, capers, tomatoes and wilted spinach
  • Pan Roasted Wild Grouper and Key West Shrimp with Meyer lemon-scented vegetable risotto, purple carrots and lobster butter sauce

Desserts:

  • Grilled Apple and Pear Bread Pudding with preserved fruit, spiced pecans, vanilla sauce and caramel ice cream
  • Pumpkin Maple Crème Brûlée with orange cranberry relish
  • Banana and Chocolate Hazelnut Budino with vanilla sauce and winter berries
