The Friendly House will host Fiesta de las Americas and Noche de las Americas on Saturday, April 14, 2018. The entire day is dedicated to the Latino cultures and communities throughout the world. The Fiesta de las Americas Festival will take place 10 AM to 4 PM, followed by the Noche de las Americas from 6:30 to 10:30 PM. The events will take place at the beautiful Heritage Square in downtown Phoenix located at 113 N. 6th Street., Phoenix, AZ.
Fiesta de las Americas is a festival that celebrates the rich cultures of Latin America. The festival will showcase music, food, beverages, arts, and various entertainment from a variety of Latin American countries such as: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, and more. This festival is open to all ages and has a $5 entry fee.
The Noche de las Americas is an intimate dinner hosted for supporters and sponsors of the Friendly House. The evening will feature delectable Latin cuisine, desserts and libations as well as entertainment, guest speakers and more. Ticket entry is $75 per person. The public is invited to become a supporter of the Friendly House by attending this prestigious event.
All proceeds of both events go to support the ongoing mission and work of the Friendly House, one of the most historical and important community agencies in Phoenix. What started in 1920 as an Americanization Agency, a local initiative providing educational resources to refugees, has evolved into a multi-service organization with wide-ranging programs aimed at addressing the pressing needs of our diverse community. Over the years the efforts of the Friendly House have resulted in building resilient communities that are helping to spur economic development, stabilize neighborhoods and revitalize the City of Phoenix.
These wonderful events are made possible through the generous support of Telemundo, Prensa Hispana, Phoenix Center for the Arts, Crescent Crown, and Risas Dental. The events will deliver a wonderful cultural experience and an educational history provided by attending Latino communities and organizations from throughout the city of Phoenix and beyond.
