Description
The Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL) is asking the public to invite any of its homeless adult dogs (over 1 year old) home with them for a “one-night stand” on Valentine’s Day!
The “one-night stand” is part of AAWL’s slumber party program, which allows potential adopters to bring a dog or cat home for 24 hours to see if it’s a fit before moving forward with an adoption. The next day, Feb. 15, these animal lovers can return the pet to the shelter or choose to adopt!
To participate in the slumber party, individuals will need to visit the Arizona Animal Welfare League’s main shelter (25 N. 40th St. in Phoenix) on Valentine’s Day during business hours (11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.). It’s free to take home a homeless animal for a slumber party, and AAWL provides blankets, a bed, toys, collar and leash, food and everything else you might need for that day.
