Description

Native American Cultural Experience Days returns to Butterfly Wonderland on Saturday, January 13th from 11:00am-2:00pm featuring Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian community artist Alice Manuel as she demonstrates how to weave Native American baskets. Manuel will also share information about the art of basket weaving and its significance to their culture. Ambassadors from the SRPMIC Community will also be on hand to share about cultural traditions and history.

 

Butterfly Wonderland is America’s largest butterfly pavilion that entertains educates and enchants visitors of all ages on the wonders of one of Mother Nature’s most beloved creatures. This state-of-the-art facility includes the Conservatory where 3,000 butterflies fly freely, a 3-D theater, Butterfly Emergence Gallery, Tropical Waters of the World exhibit with a stingray and shark observation pool, Honey Bee Extravaganza, Spineless Giants and Rainforest Reptile exhibit, Butterfly Treasures Gift Shop and a Café.
