James G. Davis
Davis's observations and portrayals of the world yielded a body of work that is both provocative and beautiful. His work continues to amaze and challenge new generations. Davis's paintings hang in museum collections throughout the country, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the National Gallery in Washington D.C. About James G. Davis: Featured aritist born in Springfield, Missouri in 1931, James G. Davis earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts from Wichita State University. After years of teaching, he retired as Professor Emeritus from the University of Arizona to devote himself to painting and expand his exhibition schedule. Davis passed away in 2016 and his spirit lives on through the legacy of his work.
