Local Paradise Valley artist Fred Tieken has been selected to exhibit his artwork with two notable galleries this year at Miami Art Week.
Miami Art week kicks off November 30th running through December 4th, 2016 and Tieken will be exhibiting at two prestigious art fairs, Spectrum Miami and X Contemporary Art Fair. Tieken has been busy painting in his Paradise Valley Studio and is getting set to shipped off more than 15 of his latest mixed media artworks to be exhibited between the two fairs. This is not Tieken’s first time participating in major art fairs, he has also shown at Aqua Art Miami, LA Art Show and Palm Springs Fine Art Fair.
Working with Santa Monica based bG Gallery, Tieken will be at booth 217 at Spectrum Miami located at 1700 NE 2nd Avenue. Previously Tieken has exhibited with this gallery at the notable Palm Springs Art Fair. Exhibiting with local Phoenix based {9] The Gallery at X Contemporary Art Fair at the Nobu Hotel Miami Beach located at 4525 Collins Avenue, in booth A1.
Tieken’s artwork is expressionistic and painterly in style, highlighting personal subjects and experiences through irony and wit. The artist’s love of color, bold lines, and mixed media are seamlessly blended with his wry social commentary and smart symbolism. Tieken’s art allows the viewer a brief glimpse into his colorful and dazzling world where one senses a pure excitement and passion for life, art, and music. “Painting is like baring my soul to the world,” states Tieken whose level of emotional commitment is beautifully and vividly demonstrated in his work. Tieken’s work has been featured in more than 60 juried exhibitions and one-person shows from coast-to-coast.
Tieken spends his time working from his two studios in Venice Beach, California and Paradise Valley, Arizona. Fred Tieken and his wife own and operate Tieken Gallery, a stunning midcentury modern art gallery located in Paradise Valley. The gallery showcases his artwork in addition to other great national and international artists. Fred & Gail Tieken are thrilled to be celebrating the One Year Anniversary of the Tieken Studio and Gallery this month and they honored to present The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, showcasing the joint exhibition of acclaimed Los Angeles based artists Emmeric Konrad and Richard Kessler. “This show will offer art fans and collectors a unique opportunity to see both of these urban LA Art scene legends in one carefully curated show” states the Tieken’s.
An Artist Reception will be held on Saturday, November 26th from 2:00pm-5:00pm with artist discussions and live paintings.
