5 Movies to See Over the Holidays 2010

The holidays are a time for less work and more time with family, which is why Hollywood always packs late November and December with great movies to see in theatres. I’ve picked my top five that I’m most excited to see over Thanksgiving and Christmas break!

Love and Other Drugs
Release Date: Nov. 24
Two of my favorite actors take on Love and Other Drugs. Free spirited Maggie (Anne Hathaway) meets charming Pharmaceutical Sales Rep. Jamie (Jake Gyllenhaal). Although Jamie is about to make an explosive killing with the sale of a new drug, they find themselves intertwined in the ultimate drug: love.

Black Swan
One of my favorite ballet productions is Swan Lake and after viewing the trailer, I am more than eager to see this thriller which interprets the “black swan” in a much more deep and disturbing way. Nina (Natalie Portman) is consumed with dancing for New York City Ballet and is the star of the upcoming production. But when a new rival enters her life, her world is turned upside down.

The Tourist
Release Date: Dec. 10
Who can resist Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp- especially in a romantic thriller across picturesque Paris and Venice? Not me! The movie is sure to have its own plot surprises, but from what we can tell, Frank has found himself wrapped into Elise’s exciting and dangerous life. What kind of life? That’s for us to find out!

How Do You Know
As Good As It Gets is one of my all-time favorite movies, so when I heard the director, James L. Brooks, had a new comedy up his sleeve, I had to mark my calendar. Four confused characters (Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Paul Rudd and Jack Nicholson) lives link together for a sure to be hilarious, yet moving flick.

Little Fockers
The hilarious duo is back and at it again! Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) and Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) have had their issues. But now, with two little fockers joining the mix and a new job for Greg, Jack’s suspicions come rushing back.
