Shakin’ it Up: How CBD Tinctures Can Enhance Mocktails

CBD tinctures have become an alternative for those looking to find relief from specific ailments. Some CBD users report getting more restful sleep, and experience pain relief and reduced feelings of anxiety. CBD tinctures can be ingested orally — and while they can simply be dropped onto the tongue, GreenPharms in Mesa is offering up some fun mocktail recipes including flavored CBD tinctures. But first, a little more about what CBD tinctures are and how to use them.

Typically, there is a recommended dosing section on the bottle to give patients some direction on use. Strength is also a factor. For example, is the strength 50mg, 100mg or 1,000mg? This could be a deciding factor for users on dosing. The higher the dosage, the less will need to be used to achieve the desired results. However, the experts at GreenPharms note that every person’s endocannabinoid system is different so what works for one person, may not work for the next. They recommend that patients who are trying CBD tinctures for the first time start out with the lowest recommended dose until they know how the product affects them. Then they can go from there if they need to add or adjust their dosing. Those that have a higher tolerance to CBD tinctures may need to increase their dosing to achieve their desired results.

Not all CBD tinctures are the same in taste and texture either. There are flavored and unflavored varieties and some may have a thicker consistency than others. Though some CBD tinctures are labeled “unflavored,” users will likely still taste it if they are dropping it directly on their tongue. For those that choose an unflavored tincture to add to fruit juices or cocktail/mocktail mixes, it is unlikely they will be able to detect any taste from the tincture. The experts at GreenPharms liken the taste of unflavored CBD tinctures to that of olive or coconut oils — mild flavors that can be easily masked by the fruity flavors of juice or mixers.

As for flavored CBD tinctures, there are a multitude of options. Depending on the type of CBD mocktail the user is making, there are a variety of fruit, spice and herb flavors that can enhance the beverage. For example, flavored CBD tinctures are available in  mint, blueberry, melon, cinnamon, and peach varieties — just to name a few. Users can keep it simple or get as creative as they want when enhancing mocktails with CBD tinctures. GreenPharms offers the following recipes as examples — give them a try or mix up something totally new:
