The Prettiest Summer Mezcal Cocktails

Whether for your Fourth of July weekend by the pool or, well, just about any weekend by the pool, whip up these beautiful, season-friendly sips from Mezcal Union.

Flamingo

  • 1½ oz. Mezcal Union Joven
  • 2 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
  • 2 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz. natural syrup
  • 1 dash Angostura bitter
  • Garnish: slice of grapefruit and rosemary

Pour the grapefruit and lime juice in a shaker with ice. Add natural syrup and Mezcal Union Joven. Shake and serve, top with three dashes of Angostura bitter. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit and rosemary.

Hierbanada

  • 1½ oz. Mezcal Union Joven
  • 2 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • Soda
  • 6 peppermint leaves
  • 2 slices of cucumber
  • Garnish: 3 peppermint leaves

In a shaker, macerate the cucumber, peppermint leaves and sugar. Add ice, lime juice and Mezcal Union Joven. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass, then top with soda. Garnish with the fresh peppermint leaves.
