Hey Arizona? Sweetgreen is Headed This Way!

This fall, Sweetgreen, the mission-driven restaurant brand celebrated for its chef-crafted salads, warm bowls, and protein-packed plates, will officially debut in the Valley of the Sun with two locations. The first opens in September at Scottsdale Quarter, followed by a second opening later this fall at Camelback + 32nd Street.

For Jonathan Neman, Sweetgreen’s co-founder and CEO, the expansion represents more than just growth.

“We’re thrilled to introduce Sweetgreen to Arizona and become part of the vibrant communities in Scottsdale and Phoenix,” Neman said. “Our mission is to connect people to real food, and we’re excited to bring that experience to a state that values wellness, sustainability, and community.”

Each restaurant is designed with Sweetgreen’s signature transparency and sustainability in mind. Guests will find open kitchens where meals are prepared fresh daily and source boards highlighting local purveyors, reinforcing the company’s mission of honesty and connection.

On the menu, diners can expect long-time favorites such as the harvest bowl and crispy rice bowl, alongside hearty protein plates like miso glazed salmon and hot honey chicken.

Sweetgreen’s debut is about more than crave-worthy meals; it’s also about community impact. On opening day at Scottsdale Quarter, the restaurant will donate one meal for every meal purchased to St. Mary’s Food Bank. Additional grand opening activities and activations are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, further weaving the brand into Arizona’s local fabric.

The 2,515-square-foot Scottsdale Quarter location has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate both in-store diners and those on the go. Inside, there’s seating for 30 guests, with room for another 36 on the patio. For convenience, guests can order in person, online or through the Sweetgreen app. App users also gain access to Sweetpass, the brand’s loyalty program, offering challenges, discounts, and merch drops.

With its fresh flavors, sustainable ethos, and community-minded mission, Sweetgreen’s Arizona debuts are set to make a lasting impact—bringing Valley residents a new way to eat healthy, live well, and connect over real food. Learn more at sweetgreen.com.
