Federal Pizza, the neighborhood spot known for its wood-fired pizzas, house-made pastas, craft cocktails, and welcoming vibes, has expanded with a brand-new location in Paradise Valley. Opened on August 12, this marks the second-ever Federal Pizza location that brings a fresh, retro-cool design and expanded amenities to the revitalized Paradise Valley Mall site.
Set inside a custom-built 4,000-square-foot space with a sweeping 1,500-square-foot patio, Federal Pizza PV keeps the signature warmth and flavor of the Uptown Phoenix original while introducing new features, including a take-out lounge and bottle shop. Here, guests can grab pizzas to-go, enjoy a drink in the lounge, play arcade games, and browse a curated selection of craft beer, wine, and cocktails.
To celebrate the opening, the first 100 guests through the door on August 12 received a custom trucker hat, bottle opener, and Wren House Brewing Co. koozie. At the new shop, guests can purchase branded merch, mix-and-match beer packs, and pints of Churn ice cream in flavors like Madagascar vanilla, cookies and mint, strawberry, Vietnamese coffee, and chocolate sorbet.
Federal Pizza is also giving back by partnering with The Joy Bus, which delivers chef-prepared meals to homebound cancer patients. For the first month, $1 from every Wren House Melt Mode beer sold will benefit the nonprofit. On August 23 from 4-7 p.m., guests can decorate bags and write encouraging notes for Joy Bus meal recipients.
Designed in collaboration with Mike Rumpeltin of Brick & West Design, the space nods to the first location’s low-slung brick style while adding colorful 1970s-inspired supergraphics, vintage lighting, salvaged stained glass, and neon details.
On the menu, guests can expect fan-favorites like the Flaming Lips pizza (pepperoni, salami, gorgonzola, honey hot, rosemary) and Detroit-style deep-dish Supremium (salami, pepperoncini, sweety drop peppers, Castelvetrano olives, wood-fired onion, oregano, grana padano).
Pasta lovers will find plates like the Mickey White (strozzapreti, mushroom trio, herb-marinated chicken, spinach, fontina cream sauce), alongside mains such as the chef’s classic Chicken Parm and fresh salads like the Tuscan Panzanella.
