Postino WineCafé is turning up the summer heat with the return of its culinary competition, the Battle of the Bruschetta. Now in its third year, the summer-long event invites guests to vote for their favorite among six limited-edition bruschetta creations. Running from June 15 through August 15, 2025, the competition will feature three rounds, each spotlighting a head-to-head matchup of two bruschetta recipes crafted by Postino team members.
This year’s menu is packed with creativity and flavor. Guests can taste combinations like the Everything Lox, featuring whipped cream cheese, smoked salmon, everything bagel seasoning, fried capers, pickled onions, and dill, or the Chicken Caesar Chop, a savory mix of baby gem lettuce, chicken, Parmigiano-Reggiano, garlic dressing, and cracked black pepper.
Other contenders include the Supreme, a hearty mix of stracciatella, Italian sausage, Ezzo pepperoni cups, bell peppers, Castelvetrano olives, wood-roasted onions, and Parmigiano-Reggiano; and Boquerones, a bold Mediterranean-inspired offering featuring mascarpone, a crushed tomato mix, fried capers, diced anchovies, lemon zest, and cracked black pepper.
The Cherry Cannoli Bruschetta is layered with cherry cannoli filling, dried cherries, waffle cone crumbles, powdered sugar, and chocolate chip shavings. The Hot Honey Sweet Potato is made with ricotta, caramelized sweet potatoes, thyme, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and a drizzle of hot honey.
From June 15 to June 30, Chicken Caesar Chop goes up against Everything Lox. From July 1 to 14, it’s Supreme versus Boquerones. The final showdown runs from July 15 to 31, with Cherry Cannoli facing off against Hot Honey Sweet Potato. Guests can sample the featured bruschetta and cast their votes either by scanning a QR code in the restaurant or online.
The bruschetta with the most guest votes will be re-featured from August 1 to 15 and announced as the official winner on social media. That winning recipe will earn a coveted spot on the fall menu, joining past champions like last year’s French Onion, which won hearts and a place on the permanent menu.
