Fox Restaurant Concepts Revives Its Signature Fox Block Wines Collab

A beloved tradition is back at Fox. The hospitality group has relaunched its signature “Fox Block” wine program through a new partnership with Napa Valley’s Copper Cane Wine & Spirits, bringing two limited-edition bottles to the Valley’s dining scene.

The custom blends – Fox Block XV Böen by Belle Glos (Pinot Noir, Zabala Vineyard) and Label Story, Quilt + FRC (Cabernet Reserve Blend, Napa Valley) – are available by the glass or bottle at The Henry, Society Swan, Olive & Ivy, The Arrogant Butcher, The Greene House, and Wildflower in Tucson. Guests can also purchase bottles to take home from Olive & Ivy, Doughbird on 44th Street, and Fly Bye Desert Ridge.

The revival of the program reconnects the restaurant group to a tradition of creating proprietary wines tailored to its dining experiences. The beverage team worked directly with Copper Cane, visiting the winery to shape each blend through hands-on sessions and iterative tasting.

“We’ve always admired how innovative and boundary pushing Copper Cane’s approach to winemaking is,” said Chris Melly, director of operations at Fox Restaurant Concepts. “When we started thinking about reviving Fox Block, we wanted a partner that shared the same creative spirit, and we knew Joe and Copper Cane were the perfect fit. Just like how we craft recipes within our restaurants, our teams collaborated to add, subtract, and blend until the right wines were created that perfectly captured our shared vision.”

The first of the two releases, Fox Block XV Böen by Belle Glos, is a darker Pinot Noir with a rich purple hue and rustic, ripe aromatics. Aged in neutral oak barrels, it leans fruit-forward with deep notes of black cherry and purple fruit, finishing velvety and bolder than the typical expressions of the varietal.

Label Story, Quilt + FRC offers a striking contrast. The Cabernet Reserve Blend shows an almost inky color with floral aromatics, spice, dried fruit and sweet leather. On the palate, it is Cabernet at heart with a hint of Merlot, silky in texture with a clean finish and balanced acidity.

“Great wine and great food are both about bringing people together,’ Copper Cane founder Joe Wagner said. “Fox Restaurants has built a culture around genuine hospitality and creating spaces that do just that, so this partnership was a natural fit for Böen by Belle Glos. This wine captures our shared philosophy: it’s expressive, easy to love, and made to bring people together at the table.”

The project also reflects Wagner’s own legacy. A fifth-generation winemaker, he grew up immersed in the world of viticulture, learning from his father, who co-founded the renowned Caymus Vineyards in 1972. Since establishing Copper Cane in 2014, Wagner has developed a portfolio of labels that carry his personal stamp, each emphasizing craftsmanship, individuality and a deep connection to the vineyard.

Both Fox Block wines will be available for a limited time, pouring only until the last bottle is gone. Learn more at foxrc.com or coppercanespirits.com.
