Sogno Toscano: A Taste of Tuscany Opens in Arcadia

Arcadia has a new reason to linger over espresso, savor fresh pasta and stock the pantry with exceptional Italian imports. Sogno Toscano has officially opened its doors at 3950 E. Indian School Road, bringing a full-service Tuscan restaurant, wine bar and lifestyle market to one of Phoenix’s most beloved and up-and-coming dining neighborhoods.

Long known as a premier U.S. distributor of Italy’s finest culinary products, supplying chefs and restaurants nationwide with premium olive oils, cheeses, meats, pastas and pantry staples, Sogno Toscano’s new Arcadia outpost marks the brand’s first full-scale restaurant and market concept in Arizona. While the company has operated cafés in New York and California, this opening feels especially personal.

Founded in 2008 by lifelong friends Pietro Brembilla and Brian Persico, Sogno Toscano—which means “Tuscan Dream” in Italian—has deep roots in the Valley. Brembilla spent summers on his family’s ranch in Scottsdale, developing a lifelong connection to Arizona. Today, the company’s headquarters are based in Tempe.

“We’re overjoyed to bring a full Tuscan dining and lifestyle market experience to Phoenix,” says Brembilla. “This restaurant is more than a place to eat. It is a happy and welcoming space where friends and families can gather, enjoy the authentic flavors of Italy, explore our food and goods market, and create memories together. We hope every guest feels the care, passion and tradition we pour into the Sogno Toscano market and restaurant and leaves inspired by the richness of Italian culture.”

That philosophy is evident the moment you step inside. The space features a spacious patio, a full espresso and coffee bar, and an all-day menu led by Executive Chef Jackson Kegel that is designed to move seamlessly from morning to night. Breakfast offerings include omelets, pastries and Italian-style baked goods, while lunch and dinner showcase the heart of Tuscany. Expect fresh pasta flown in from Italy, Tuscan schiacciate sandwiches, beef- and pork-stuffed tortellini, focaccia pizzas and beautifully assembled charcuterie and cheese boards. One standout to look for is the signature schiacciata panettone, a nod to the brand’s Italian baking heritage.

Beyond the restaurant, Sogno Toscano also functions as a daytime lifestyle market and an inviting place to browse and bring home a taste of Italy. Shelves are stocked with imported burrata, prosciutto, specialty pantry items and a curated selection of Tuscan wines.

Open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sogno Toscano Arcadia hosts live music every weekend, adding to the lively, convivial atmosphere that defines Italian dining culture. Whether you’re stopping in for a morning cappuccino, a long lunch on the patio or an evening of wine and pasta with friends, Sogno Toscano offers an experience that feels transportive while remaining perfectly at home in Phoenix.
