Bagel lovers, pastrami fans, and deli connoisseurs, get ready. On September 10, the Maggiore Group will officially debut its newest fast-casual concept, The Delicatessen, at 12811 N. Tatum Blvd. in Phoenix.
If the name sounds familiar, it should. The Maggiore Group is the culinary force behind some of the Valley’s most buzzworthy dining spots, including Hash Kitchen, The Italiano, The Mexicano, and The Sicilian Butcher. This time Chef Joey is channeling the energy of a classic New York Jewish-style deli and infusing it with a playful, modern twist.
The Delicatessen’s menu is a celebration of both tradition and creativity. Guests can expect hand-carved sandwiches piled high with smoky house-made pastrami and tender, house-cured corned beef. A one-of-a-kind bagel bar will feature more than 25 topping options, from decadent cheesecake cream cheese to colorful Fruity Pebbles, alongside savory favorites like smoked salmon and pastrami.
“We are excited to open this one-of-a-kind bagel bar,” Chef Joey said. “Our bagels will be made fresh in-house daily, delivering that perfectly chewy texture and crisp golden exterior that bagel fanatics crave.”
Another standout is the chopped Italian sub bar, where diners can choose meats and ingredients, then watch as it’s all chopped together and served on a homemade semolina bun. Nostalgic bakery favorites like iced black-and-white cookies and towering slices of rich chocolate cake will round out the experience.
Adding to the charm is a custom fountain soda bar and old-school New York egg creams, all served in a space designed by Cristina Maggiore. The bold, retro diner aesthetic captures the heart of a classic deli while offering a fresh, vibrant backdrop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
