The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach Debuts Completion

Oahu is debuting a shiny new gem with the completion of its first ever Ritz-Carlton Residences. The completion of the Waikiki resort was marked by the opening of the new Diamond Head Tower.

The new 245-residence Diamond Head Tower joins the Ewa Tower, both designed by Guerin Glass Architects. Both buildings were designed to incorporate Hawaii’s natural elements. The exterior front reflects the ocean and sky while the back reflects the mountains and Honolulu’s bustling city.

Inside, John Brent Design took over with island-deco style and modern luxury in both the common spaces and residences. With a total 246 suites in both towers, the resort boasts the largest number of luxury hotel suites on the island. Guests can choose from studio, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom options, and will find ocean views, kitchen and in-residence washers and dryers in all suites.

In addition to sleek new rooms, the Diamond Head Tower has an expanded spa with four treatment rooms, relaxation lounge, and a 2,900-square-foot infinity pool with loaded private cabanas. Combined with Ewa’s infinity pool, the resort is the only hotel in Waikiki with two infinity pools, both located on the 7th and 8th floors. Other amenities include 10 meeting and event spaces, including a boardroom, movie theatre, The Horizon Terrace and Lanai and the 22,000-square-foot Lau’ula Park. There are also two stages and two acres of greenery. In 2019, the resort will debut a new dining venue in at the Diamond Head Tower pool deck and an Island Country Market on the ground level.
