The 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV SEL was the first Mitsubishi we’ve had the opportunity to test, and it proved to be a great surprise. From the start, it felt comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly practical for everyday driving.
One of our favorite features was the large touchscreen, which was easy to navigate and gave the interior a modern, upgraded feel. We also loved some of the smaller details—especially the adjustable cup holders. It may seem like a simple feature, but it’s one of those thoughtful touches you quickly appreciate when you’re using the vehicle every day.
Where the Outlander PHEV really stood out, though, was driving around the city. Being able to take advantage of the plug-in hybrid system for shorter trips made a noticeable difference in how often we needed to stop for gas. For errands, school runs, commuting, and everyday city driving, the gas savings were a huge plus.
Overall, our first experience with Mitsubishi was a great one. The 2026 Outlander PHEV SEL offered a nice combination of comfort, technology, practicality, and efficiency. It’s a versatile SUV that works especially well for families looking to save on fuel without going fully electric.
