Having owned two Acadias in the past, I’ll admit I already have a soft spot for this SUV. It was our family vehicle during some busy years of hauling kids around, so I was excited to spend some time in the 2026 Acadia AT4 AWD. The new version definitely didn’t disappoint—in fact, it reminded me just how much I loved owning an Acadia.
For a family looking for a great everyday SUV, especially at a price point under $60,000, I think the Acadia is a really strong option. It has plenty of space without feeling oversized or cumbersome to drive around town. The ride was smooth and comfortable, and it was equally easy to picture using it for everyday school and sports runs or loading everyone up for a family road trip.
One of my favorite features continues to be the seating configuration. I love the second-row bucket seats paired with the third-row bench. The bucket seats make it so much easier for kids to get in and out and access the back row, while the third row gives you the flexibility to bring along extra kids, friends, or family when needed.
The AT4 also has a great look and feel. It’s practical enough to be a true family hauler but still feels stylish and fun to drive—which isn’t always an easy combination to find in a three-row SUV.
After driving the 2026 Acadia, I found myself remembering why I owned two of them in the first place. As our family continues to need a vehicle that can handle kids, activities, gear, and everyday life, this experience definitely made me consider putting an Acadia back in our driveway again in the future.
