Rachel Marie: FORD Robert Black Agency Model

Meet Rachel Marie, a simple sophisticated female, loving mother and new model for FORD Robert Black Agency. Get to know her!

Where were you born?

I was born in New Jersey. I miss the fresh tomatoes…

What made you decide to become a model?

Modeling was never something I planned on doing. Some opportunities arose and I just went with it.

What major cities have you modeled in?

I love to travel and I’ve been blessed to work in Miami, New York, LA, Cancun and St. Maarten in the Caribbean.

Who is your favorite designer?

I adore anything by Stella McCartney and Dolce & Gabbana, both design clothes that are simple, sexy, and all about being a woman. Accessibility wise, love my Michael Kors, Rachel Zoe, and Nicole Richie’s line Winter Kate.

Who is your favorite model?

One of many favorite faces of the moment is Georgia May Jagger. She has this sexy undone look, not too perfect. She’s only 5’7 and rocking an overbite… Makes you realize its the flaws that can sometimes be the most enchanting aspect of a look.

If you could be on the cover of any magazine, what would it be and why?

If I had to choose just one magazine cover I’d have to go with Sports Illustrated. I remember being a young girl and looking through the swimsuit issue. The girls always looked so healthy, gorgeous and happy.

Where is your favorite location to shoot?

My favorite location to shoot in so far would have to be St. Maarten. The water is the most exquisite shade of blue.

Can you share your favorite beauty secrets?

My favorite beauty tricks are all about simplicity. I wash my face every night with a simple bar of natural soup, I slather all natural coconut oil on my face, then run some Moroccan oil through my hair. Living in Arizona its all about trying to keep the moisture in. Most important…water, water and more water.

Who inspires you and why?

I’m inspired every single day by my daughter Ruby. She makes me realize how simple life can really be. Being a Mom is such a humbling experience, it makes me want to better who I am every day. There hasn’t been a day since shes been born that I haven’t fallen asleep thanking the universe for all my blessings. If I can grow up to be half as cool a person as my kid, I’ll be doing alright.

iPhone or Blackberry?

I am so not a gadget girl. I end up with whatever the guy at the store talks me into, which at the moment happens to be an iPhone.

What do you hope to accomplish by the end of this year?

By the end of this year…I’d like to co-sign with some agencies in LA, and possibly New York, learn not to hate yoga, and spend more time traveling with my family.
