AZF: What is your “life motto”?
AB: “Success is not just about the destination, it’s about the journey.”

AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path for you?
AB: “From a very young age, I knew that the traditional path wasn’t for me. The idea of taking control of my destiny, of steering my own ship, always resonated deeply within me. As an Enneagram Type 7, my adventurous and optimistic spirit has been a guiding force throughout my life. This personality trait bolstered my belief that I could conquer any challenge that came my way, turning obstacles into opportunities. The realization that entrepreneurship was my calling came naturally. I have always been someone who makes lemonade out of lemons, finding creative solutions in the face of adversity. This mindset was not just about finding the silver lining but actively creating it. Whether in personal projects or professional endeavors, I’ve always had a knack for seeing the potential where others might see barriers. My entrepreneurial journey has been about more than just business success. It’s been a fulfilling path that has allowed me to balance my career aspirations with my personal life, especially as a mother to my two boys. Being an entrepreneur has granted me the flexibility to be present in their lives, attending their sports games, school activities, and sharing in their everyday moments, which is invaluable to me. In my career, my drive as an Enneagram 7 has been a key factor in my success. I approach each project with enthusiasm and a can-do attitude, which has not only propelled my business forward but also ensured the success of my clients. My optimism and energy have been contagious, creating a positive and dynamic environment both in my professional circle and at home. In essence, I always knew that entrepreneurship was my path. It aligns perfectly with my personality, my goals, and my vision for a life that blends professional success with personal fulfillment. It’s not just about being my own boss; it’s about creating a life that is as rewarding as it is successful, on all fronts.”

AZF: How do you feel best supported?
AB: “I’ve come to realize that feeling supported, especially in the entrepreneurial journey, is a multifaceted experience. There was a time when I believed that doing everything myself was the key to success. However, my journey, particularly insights gained from my mastermind and the teachings of Rebecca Caferio in the Inner Circle, has shifted this perspective dramatically. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is that asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness; rather, it’s an indication of success. It shows a willingness to grow and an understanding that collaboration can lead to greater achievements than solitary efforts. I feel most supported when I am surrounded by successful individuals from whom I can learn. Their experiences, insights, and wisdom are invaluable, providing guidance and inspiration. Moreover, I’ve embraced the concept of working within my ‘zone of genius’. Realizing that certain tasks are better handled by others whose strengths lie in those areas has been liberating. It has allowed me to focus on what I do best and contribute most effectively to my business. Therefore, I feel a profound sense of support when I hire the right people for my team – individuals who not only excel in their respective fields but whose zones of genius complement my own and fill gaps in my zone of competence. In essence, the best support for me comes from a combination of learning from peers and mentors and empowering my team to excel in their strengths. This approach not only fosters a dynamic and productive work environment but also ensures that both my business and I continue to grow and succeed.”

AZF: What motivates you to keep going admist the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
AB: “Facing the hurdles of entrepreneurship can indeed be daunting, and there have been moments where I’ve contemplated giving up. However, what keeps me going is the realization that self-care is not just a luxury, but a necessity for sustained success and clarity. One of the most transformative practices for me has been breathwork with Daisy at Spiritual Mixedtape. It’s remarkable how such a simple, daily practice can clear mental fog and help refocus my energies. This routine has become a cornerstone of my day, offering a moment of peace and rejuvenation amidst the chaos of entrepreneurial life. I’ve also embraced Sound Healing and Reiki. These practices have contributed significantly to my overall well-being, allowing me to recharge and tackle challenges with renewed vigor. The journey of an entrepreneur can be incredibly taxing, not just physically but emotionally and mentally. Investing in these self-care routines has proven to be instrumental in maintaining my motivation and resilience. Additionally, the sense of isolation that often accompanies solopreneurship is something I counteract by surrounding myself with fellow entrepreneurs. This community is invaluable. Sharing experiences, challenges, and victories with peers who understand the unique journey of building a business from the ground up provides a sense of camaraderie and support that is incredibly uplifting. In essence, my motivation to keep going stems from a strong self-care regimen and a supportive community of like-minded individuals. These elements remind me that while the entrepreneurial path is challenging, it’s also enriching and achievable with the right mindset and support systems in place.”

AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.
AB: “My perfect Saturday morning starts with the gentle, unhurried awakening that only the weekend can offer. The sun filters softly through the windows, signaling the beginning of a day filled with joy and simplicity. As I rise, the anticipation of spending quality time with my kids fills me with warmth and happiness. Our morning is leisurely and filled with laughter. We gather around a board game, the friendly competition and teamwork setting a tone of camaraderie and fun. These are the moments I cherish the most, where the hustle of the week gives way to the simple pleasure of being together. As the morning progresses, the allure of the beach calls to us. We pack our essentials and head towards the sandy shores, the rhythmic sound of the waves drawing us in. The beach is our sanctuary, a place where we can play, relax, and simply enjoy each other’s company amidst the soothing embrace of nature. The kids build sandcastles and frolic in the waves, their joyous laughter mingling with the ocean breeze. Later, as the kids find their own adventures, I find solace in my own quiet pursuits. With a book in hand, currently the inspiring ’10x is Easier Than 2x’, I immerse myself in the pages, finding motivation and new perspectives in its words. This time for self-reflection is precious. Occasionally, I switch to listening to podcasts, the insightful discussions and stories enriching my mind as I engage in the therapeutic act of cleaning and organizing our space. This balance of family time, personal growth, and the peace of the beach embodies my perfect Saturday morning. It’s a time when the demands of the outside world recede, allowing me to reconnect with my kids, indulge in my passions, and recharge in the tranquility of our favorite place.”

AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
AB: “As you embark on your entrepreneurial journey, my most heartfelt advice is this: follow your dream with conviction and determination. Remember, you have the power to turn your aspirations into reality. Don’t wait passively for opportunities to find you; be proactive and chase after your goals with vigor. Surround yourself with people who inspire and motivate you. The company you keep can significantly impact your mindset and drive. Seek out individuals who uplift you, offer support, and understand the ups and downs of the entrepreneurial path. These relationships will be invaluable as you navigate through challenges and celebrate successes. It’s crucial to understand that success doesn’t happen overnight. Patience and persistence are your allies. Embrace the journey with all its learning curves and milestones. Position yourself in environments where you’re surrounded by the success you aspire to achieve. Attend events, join forums, and engage in communities where you can learn from those who have already walked the path you’re on. Remember, you are in complete control of your destiny. Your choices, actions, and attitudes shape your future. It’s not about emulating someone else’s success, but about learning from their experiences and carving out your own unique path. Believe in yourself, and know that with hard work, resilience, and a positive support system, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.”

AZF: What makes you most excited about being an entrepreneur?
AB:
“What excites me most about being an entrepreneur is the unique opportunity it provides to make a tangible impact in the business world while also nurturing a fulfilling personal life. At the heart of my professional journey is a deep passion for helping brands gain visibility and credibility in the marketplace. There’s a profound sense of accomplishment in seeing a brand flourish through the strategies we implement at Chatterbox PR and Marketing. It’s not just about business growth; it’s about being a part of their story and contributing to their success. Another aspect that energizes me is being part of a community of driven, self-motivated individuals. This network of entrepreneurs, all excelling on their own merit, creates an empowering environment. We share experiences, challenges, and triumphs, fostering a culture of mutual growth and inspiration. It’s incredibly rewarding to be surrounded by people who are not only passionate about their ventures but also value the balance between work and personal life. Speaking of balance, entrepreneurship has granted me the flexibility that is rare in traditional corporate roles. As a mother of two boys, it’s crucial for me to be present in their lives, from attending sports events to participating in school activities. Being an entrepreneur allows me to manage my schedule in a way that prioritizes my family. This flexibility is invaluable, as it means I don’t have to choose between being a successful business owner and a dedicated mother. Instead, I can excel at both, which is perhaps the most fulfilling part of this journey.”
