My family…
BB: Is the reason I work so hard and care so much about setting a good example for what it means to be a strong and confident man, husband, leader, and community member.

KB: Is the reason why I want to be BETTER. A better wife. A better mom. A better friend. A better community member. I want to be their example of how to leave this world BETTER.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…
BB: My great grandfather Herman Brown (whom I never met) – his parents migrated to the US in the late 1800’s and, after serving in WW1 in the balloon corp, started a successful construction company in Des Moines, Iowa.

KB: It would be my mom, dad and brother. We have so much fun and always laugh through our meals.

One thing I cannot live without…
BB: Sunshine (and coffee)…not necessarily in that order
KB: my minivan with automatic sliding doors, my 3 pillows and cottage cheese.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…
BB: A fireman
KB: a college math teacher and volleyball coach.

I’m inspired by…
BB: My wife
KB: My husband

The one person who motivates me is…
BB: No one motivates me more than I motivate myself to want to get better every day
KB: I am motivated by many people, especially people who force me to BE BETTER.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…
BB: Stricter fines on driving at or below the speed limit in the left hand lane
KB: Help people that do not believe in themselves, and children would not be allowed to have cell phones / social media until high school (at least).

The perfect day would be…
BB: Wake up, walk with my wife, coffee, breakfast with the kids, and everything after that is bonus – ideally, some combination of golf, workout, and a nap.
KB: Wake up early, go on a walk with my husband, have morning snuggles with my kids, have breakfast as a family, workout, have a conversation with a stranger, work or volunteer, play volleyball or hike, and end my day with having dinner as a family.

My first job was…
BB: Bagging groceries at 14
KB: Babysitting at 10 years old, but first W2 job was Hot Dog on a Stick at Montclair Mall and The LA County Fair Grounds.

My favorite escape…
BB: Kauai
KB: Anywhere in the world with Ben, but if I had to give one place… Christopher Creek outside of Payson.

My life…
BB: Is what I make of it
KB: is so good, because I decided to make it that way.

I’m currently working on…
BB: Changing the collective belief system around what it means to be healthy and revolting against the acceptance of restrictive dieting
KB: Becoming the healthiest version of myself, raising 3 amazing humans and growing our small business into a memorable legacy.

Always…
BB: Show up and work hard
KB: Be nice, make it count and have fun!

Never…
BB: Make excuses or accept mediocrity
KB: judge someone by the opinion of another and never stop learning, because life never stops teaching.

Favorite Quote…
BB: “If you can’t stop thinking about it, don’t stop working for it”
KB: I have 3…You can be a masterpiece and a work in progress simultaneously. Smiles are contagious. Simple scales, fancy fails.

Biggest Dream…
BB: To know that I’ve raised healthy, confident, and hard working children who are driven to make a positive contribution to our society.
KB: Raising healthy children that make an impact on the world and that my great, great, great grandchildren know the story of their Grandma Kristy.

My Pet Peeve(s)…
BB: When I’m at a social gathering and after finding out what I do, people (while stuffing their face) ask me “to not judge them”…and when people drive slowly in the left lane on the highway
KB: Negative people. People that cannot park between the lines and take up 2 parking spaces. People that complain about how busy they are.

Bio-on yourself/company: At BSL Nutrition, we believe… Your health determines your freedom.

Celebrating over 15 years of business, BSL Nutrition is a global online systemic health coaching company specializing in individualized nutrition, lifestyle and strength training programing for highly driven men and women.

BSL Nutrition has no secrets to sell you, but we do attribute the success of our coaching program to the synergy that comes from leveraging the science of real world data, the psychology of behavior change, and the art of coaching to help our clients reach their long-term health goals.

BSL Nutrition, founded by Ben Brown, is a culmination of 20 years of education; 2 Masters degrees in exercise and nutrition, hundreds of hours of mentorship, daily client observation and real world practice. Ben realized that much of the conventional wisdom around fitness and nutrition today is outright wrong, so he dug deep for answers, to find that there’s no “one” right way to improve your health and fitness. Rather, it’s a series of smart choices made consistently that will build the foundation for long-term success. Thus creating the Pure Science, Proven Results(TM) coaching methodology.
