A typical day in my life includes… constructive chaos; up at 4:30 AM and down by 10:00 PM. Everything in between is focused on the progress of family goals, professional goals, and community impact goals.
I was born… Tulsa, Oklahoma.
My favorite thing about Arizona… The 355 days of sunshine, the interconnectivity of the community and while AZ is a large state it still has that small state feel.
I’m listening to… something different every day depending on what I need to feed my thoughts for the day, week, moment. Everything from books to podcasts, YouTube videos, and country music.
My family… is my rock. They keep me grounded, grateful, and on my toes.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… Michael Jordan.
One thing I cannot live without… my hoodie collection. In my closet, I have one side for my suits and another dedicated side to my hoodies. I even sport them in the summer.
When I was younger, I wanted to be… a superhero, then a professional soccer player, sports attorney/agent.
I’m inspired by… my family, most people consider family their blood relatives, but I view my family more broadly. I think of all the people who have made an impact in my life and how could I honor that investment they made.
The one person who motivates me is… my wife, Jenny. She has this uncanny ability to read me no matter the situation and know what kind of love and support I need in that moment.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… how we treat/view each other. We focus too much on the negative noise out there when there are so many positive things that happen even more.
The perfect day would be… 25 hours vs 24.
My first job was… working alongside my mom as a housekeeper at my parents’ small-town motel.
My favorite escape… my couch, in a hoodie watching a Cardinals game.
My life… is simple. Work, play, eat, repeat
I’m currently working on… my health, developing my team, and my golf game.
Always… have hope. Keep your head down, shoulders low, and keep moving your feet.
Never… ever Give Up. My oldest was having a hard time with something and Jenny heard her say to younger sister, “Ranchhods’ don’t give up.” (Never, is not my vocabulary)
Favorite Quote… Teamwork makes the dream work (that’s our family’s motto) Progress is more important then perfection.
Biggest Dream… to be President of the United States.
My Pet Peeve(s)… lack of communication, unfolded laundry. Half-assed work (if you are going to do something do it right or not at all.
