A typical day in my life includes… On my days out of the office my daughter and I take a walk to the park, I will go for a run or do hot yoga, I will walk by the pile of laundry and pretend I did not see it and spend time around the dinner table with my family.

I was born…in Provo Utah

My favorite thing about Arizona… Being surrounded by family, and of course the sunsets. They get me every time.

I’m listening to… Adele’s new album 30.

My family… is about as close as they come.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… Socrates, I have been fascinated by him for as long as I can remember.

One thing I cannot live without… my yoga practice

When I was younger, I wanted to be… pretty much everything, I found the joy in every class and opportunity. At one time I wanted to be a teacher, now being a physician assistant I get to teach students and mentor those who are in the process of being PA’s, nurses, physicians and nurse practitioners and if feels so good to be able to pass on my knowledge and skill set to the next generation of practitioners.

I’m inspired by… my daughter. She brings a light with her everywhere she goes. Without judgements or shaped by the world, waving and smiling to everyone she sees. The world would be a better place if we were all a little more like her.

The one person who motivates me is… I think if I am honest with myself, it would be myself. I am stubborn and very type A. So, If I really want something and set a goal, I will achieve it. I am a big believer in that.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be… This is a hard one. There are so many things in the world and in our society that need improvement. But in the world I think the one thing I would change is helping to create sustainability using an education system catered to each individual country’s needs. Using money and resources that are already being donated to train and educate sustainable farming, clean water, housing and so much more… instead of many of us giving money since it is our best intention to help others. However, so often when we just give money, we are also creating a problem. I saw this on my medical mission trip in Haiti.

The perfect day would be… A beach trip with my family, it’s our heaven on earth

My first job was… working at Venezias Pizzeria. I consumed enough pizza to feed the entire U.S. but I have no regrets. And I still love it!

My favorite escape… a quick run with my baby in the jogging stroller or a trip to yoga, I sound repetitive, but it really is so good for me.

My life… is better than imagined. I love the life I am living.

I’m currently working on… Finding more balance in my life. We just moved from Pennsylvania, which is chaotic as to be expected, so for now we are just trying to find our new routine in a balanced way.

Always… love

Never… betray your true self. It is the most important being to not turn your back on.

Favorite Quote… I have two. And neither are quotes but the first is a scripture, but even as a kid it always stuck with me: Leviticus 19:18 Love thy neighbor as thyself. And the second is a song, Que Sera Sera. I sing this song to my daughter daily. Although we can not control everything that happens in life, we choose how we handle it. Because either way, what will be will be.

Biggest Dream… Having a family. And we have started just that, I feel very blessed.

My Pet Peeve(s)… wet towels on the bed. I cannot even think about this one…
