Want to be Less Stressed? Move to Phoenix (Report)

Phoenix is one of the least-stressed cities in the nation, according to a recent report.

The study, conducted by SkinStore, revealed the best and worst U.S. cities for your health by analyzing stress levels across the country. It found that Phoenix ranks among the top five least-stressed cities, according to residents, with a “zen” score of 72.6 out of 100. The average zen score across the US is 63.73.

Salt Lake City, Indianapolis, Des Moines and Columbus make up the remaining most stress-free cities among the top five, thanks to high happiness, safety and lower-stress working scores that people in those cities experience.

The study took into account factors such as city safety, happiness, quality of life, city pollution and more, as the stressors of daily life can oftentimes manifest physically through skin breakouts or flare-ups.

On the flip side, the most stressed cities were Denver, Jacksonville, New Orleans, New York City and Anchorage.
