Sonora West Development, a Scottsdale-based luxury homebuilder with a legacy of over 500 completed projects totaling nearly $1 billion, has officially begun construction on two new upscale residential communities: Camelback Palms in Phoenix and Solace in Carefree. These two projects will bring 35 new homesites to the market, with prices ranging from $2.5 million to $10 million.
Camelback Palms: Exclusive Living in the Heart of Phoenix
Situated between The Phoenician and Royal Palms Resort and Spa, Camelback Palms is a private, gated enclave featuring four custom homes on half-acre lots. Each residence will offer between 5,700 and 8,000 square feet of living space, with price points from $6.5 million to $10 million.
Construction is underway, with two homes currently being built and the remaining two scheduled to begin within the next 90 days. Sonora West plans to sell one or two of the homes while completing the rest as high-end spec properties. Completion is expected by the end of 2026.
The location offers views of Camelback Mountain and proximity to world-class resorts, fine dining, and shopping—making it one of the most coveted addresses in the Camelback East neighborhood.
Solace: Desert Serenity in Carefree
In the serene landscape of Carefree, Sonora West is developing Solace, a community of 31 one-acre homesites designed for tranquility and customization. Four of the homesites will be fully custom builds, while the remaining will feature four flexible, pre-designed floor plans with a range of luxury options.
Homebuyers can tailor residences with features such as casitas, detached garages, RV garages, ramadas, flex rooms, and additional bedrooms. Homes will range from 3,600 to 5,500 square feet, offering a blend of refined living and natural desert beauty just north of Scottsdale. Groundbreaking is expected within the coming year, with full community buildout targeted for 2028.
A Continued Legacy of Luxury
“Solace and Camelback Palms are natural extensions of the vision we’ve been creating through our other communities,” said CEO Scott Pfeiffer, founder of Sonora West Development. “Each is uniquely tailored to its surroundings, but all share our signature blend of luxury, livability, and world-class design. We’re proud to keep growing without losing ourselves and our commitment of being a hands-on company that cares about the homes and communities we create.”
Sonora West is partnering with 4Line Studio for architectural design on both projects.
