Fit Method tip of the week: Plyometrics and Natural Sugar

Happy Sunday! I love love providing tips that will help you all reach your fitness goals! I have some of my clients perform plyometrics, which is a mix of explosiveness used to increase muscular power, usually done by jumping techniques. I also love adding these movements to those who really want to build athletic legs. Helps to shape the glutes, quads and hamstrings.

Recently featured on Fox News I demonstrated 4 plyo exercises you can add to your routine.

1. Jump squats

2. Pop squats

3. Side to side – using a step

4. Jumping lunge in place

When performing these exercises make sure to really explode up and always landing on your heels and not the balls of your feet.

I also talked about how to incorporate natural sugar into your diet and replace foods that have the added or processed sugar. Most people get so much added sugars into their diet without realizing it……and it is so important to watch glucose and insulin levels, especially if you are trying to lose weight and fat.

Ways to add natural sugar into diet:

1. Fruit

2. Honey

3. Stevia or Monk fruit

4. Coconut flakes

These are all healthy ways to add natural sugars to your foods without adding it to your waist line! Watch the whole news segment below to see how the exercises are performed!!
