Kinesis – Your Total Body Workout

kinesis

If you’ve ever been curious about the Kinesis machine, or maybe intimidated, let us introduce you to this amazing all-in-one total body workout. The Kinesis Wall is a full body machine with the opportunity to move your body across 3 planes of movement.

What this means to you is that the unique 3-D design of the Kinesis machine gives your body a practically endless amount of natural body exercises to incorporate into your workout routine, or use as a standalone exercise. You also have the ability to use the machine solo, with a physical trainer, or in a group exercise class setting. Due to its cross-functionality, the Kinesis machine can help you burn 30% more calories than a regular workout, gain overall strength and endurance, and burn fat.

How to Use the Kinesis Wall

One option is to try out a class where Kinesis is integrated in a circuit training group exercise class using the four-station Kinesis Wall, a vertical system of cables and weights that includes cardio, strength, and flexibility exercises. Each class encompasses exercises at eight stations; four stations on the wall and four stations off of the wall. Station exercises include use of free weights, resistance bands, and cardio equipment (such as a stationary bike, rower, and elliptical) to complement the Kinesis Wall.

The Kinesis machine can also be used solo or in a personal training session. With the ability to customize and fine tune just about every aspect of your Kinesis routine, from weight to resistance to intensity, you’re giving your body the ability to keep making progress and avoid fitness plateaus (and boredom!). Traditional weight machines only allow the body to move in one direction, whereas the Kinesis machine moves in a 3-D direction.

Kinesis Classes

The High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) style of circuit training implemented in the Kinesis class focuses on full-body movements for maximum results. Participants work at each station for one to two minutes before moving on to the next station.

Great for Any Fitness Level

With the ability to customize and fine tune your workout, Kinesis is a great option for participants looking for a lower-impact workout, or even rehabilitation, that gives great results. If you’re struggling with an injury from overuse or perhaps even an acute issue, Kinesis offers the flexibility to work major and minor muscle groups in that 3-D fashion, allowing the body to rehabilitate and also stay active. However, as with any exercise program, to see results one must stay consistent. Studies show that those who exercise with a group are more likely to stick with a workout routine and get results.

The Village offers multiple Kinesis classes at various times throughout the week, and all of our Kinesis classes are instructed by highly qualified personal trainers to ensure safety and effectiveness.
