1. Les Misérables

Based on Victor Hugo’s epic redemption and revolution in 19th century France, Les Misérables hits the stage at the Phoenix Theatre this Wednesday, April 23 through Sunday, May 25.  This hit production of this megamusical will feature the aching ballad “I Dreamed A Dream,” as well as “Master of the House.”  Don’t miss out on this great show!

2. Shatner’s World

Don’t miss out this Thursday, April 24, as the former Capt. Kirk brings his one-man show to the big screen as his stage performance is displayed in movie theaters.  This movie legend takes audiences on a voyage through his life and career, from Shakespearean stage actor to internationally known icon and raconteur.  This man has been around and back again and anyone would enjoy him.

3. El Dia de los Ninos

This festival celebrate its 14th year this year.  Sponsored by the Latino Institute of the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, Phoenix will celebrate it’s youngest residents, bringing together dozens of child-centered organizations, vendors and educators.  Expecting to draw more than 7,000 children, El Dia de los Ninos is going to be a hit. Presenting a classic burlesque performance that showcases “the art of the tease,” a group of dancers, singers and circus performances all group together to put this show on for your viewing pleasure. It will feature a full bar and a Saffron JAK Original Stonebread Pizza food truck. Come out and enjoy the show this Friday, April 25 at The Pressroom.

5. Pat’s Run

In the 10th annual Pat’s Run, come out and honor and celebrate the beautiful life of Pat Tillman.  Participants will receive a T-shirt, a virtual goodie bag and access to partake in finish-line festivities.  This 4.2 mile walk/run will begin at the east side of the Sun Devil stadium and make its way through the street of Tempe. It will end on the 42 yard line of Frank Kush Field inside the stadium.  Come out and support this honorable event!

6. Chandler Craft’s Spirit Festival

Do you want to celebrate cocktail culture?  Come out to Chandler’s Craft’s Spirit Festival to sample spirits, beer and speciality craft cocktails and watch bartenders and mixologists compete to pour the best drink concoctions. There will be live music from a DJ.  Food items will also be for sale, along with giveaways.  Don’t miss out on this fun event this Saturday, April 26 at Chandler’s Park!

7. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s “Heart”

The Celebrity Theatre will be presenting Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Heart. Led by the Wilson sisters, Heart made it’s debut in the early 70’s with the album “Dreamboat Annie.” Adept at gorgeous ballads such as the “Dog and Butterfly,” or “These Dreams.” Four decades later, Heart still rocks on and hit the stage in the Valley this April 27 at the Celebrity Theatre at 7:30 p.m.  Heart has sold 35 million records worldwide, with top 10 albums on the Billboard Album Chart in the 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s, and 2010. 8. Gigi’s Playhouse Launch Party

Come out April 25 to the Windgate Ranch in Scottsdale to support Lesley Robertson, a valley mom, business owner and now entrepeneur who is bringing a successful Chicago-based nonprofit called Gigi’s Playhouse to the Valley. Gigi’s Playhouse is a learning and achievement center for children with down syndrome that has been making a huge impact across the nation, now making its mark in the Valley. To celebrate the launch of Gigi’s Playhouse, there will be a launch party and fundraiser event. Tickets are priced at $25 each and the generous support that Gigi’s Playhouse receives will help to open Gigi’s Achievement Center in October of 2014.

9. Arizona’s Ultimate Woman’s Expo
