Cocktails and Canines: Dog-Friendly Patios and Bars

We’re big fans of toting Fido around wherever we go which is why we love these dog-friendly patios and bars. Not only do they allow four-legged friends to hang out, they also treat them to special menus and amenities. Afterall, if it’s pup-approved, then it’s obviously human-approved.

CIVANA

Bring the pup to dog-friendly CIVANA where their Sunset Terrace at Terras overlooks Black Mountain and is a primo spot to watch the Arizona sunset with Fluffy. Open to locals, enjoy daily happy hour specials like the Bottle & Board or Tequila Sunset Flights. The resort even has its own dog park where the pups can burn off energy and enjoy the great outdoors.

O.H.S.O. Brewery

Anyone who’s visited O.H.S.O. knows it’s a fan favorite for humans and pups alike. All four of its Valley locations are dog friendly and pooches receive a free bowl of water and a dog treat made with spent grain from the brewing process. Stop by on the weekends for the popular beer brunch which includes a free 10 oz. Arizona beer or mimosa with purchase of select entrees.

ShadowRock Tap + Table

Take Fido north to Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock where their signature restaurant ShadowRock Tap + Table has a perfect outdoor porch location for relaxing. Pups can order tasty treats off the pet menu or enjoy Yappy Hour, a seasonal activity with specials like Red Whine and Furry Beer. And since the hotel is pet-friendly, you can stay the night with your furry companion before setting out on nearby pet-friendly hiking trails and taking advantage of other fun pet amenities like an easy grab-and-go puppy treat station in the lobby.

Crave Café

Crave Café is the perfect spot to kick back for a coffee, smoothie, wine, custard and more. Located at picturesque Omni Montelucia, the one-stop-shop features an outdoor patio that welcomes pups of all kinds. And did we mention they also host the ultimate pup birthday party for up to six furry friends. The bark-worthy package includes a pet-friendly birthday cake, party hats, dog treats, water bowls, doggie goody bags, a special birthday present and a 20% discount at Crave. For even more pup fun, stop by on October 24 and December 12 for a special Yappy Hour from 6 to 8 p.m. Sip wine and shop the specialty pet boutique, all in support of various local pet shelters and adoption organizations.

Frank & Albert’s

Soak up the warm sun on the terrace at Frank & Albert’s, the Arizona Biltmore’s signature restaurant. Dine on contemporary American cuisine amidst a lush garden setting with overhead string lights. And to treat Spot, make a pit stop at the resort’s café where you can purchase sweet dog treats. Furry guests of the resort can also enjoy their very own Pet Pals room service menu with treats designed by the resort’s Executive Chef.

32 Shea

A favorite neighborhood joint, 32 SHEA is a buzzing cafe by day and a cozy, intimate restaurant by night. And if that’s not versatile enough for you, their patio welcomes pets and treats them to a seasonal Saturday Yappy Hour.

Morning Squeeze

Rise and shine with fluffy at Morning Squeeze, a groovy breakfast joint in Old Town Scottsdale and Tempe. The hip outlet has plenty of brunch faves (cocktails included!) plus a Tail Waggers menu for those with four legs. Choose from eats like a chow hound scramble, pupcakes or doggy biscuits and gravy.

jade bar

As a pet-friendly resort, Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa has some ideal spots around its property for hanging out with your canine. But it’s jade bar that provides the perfect setting. With its stunning views of Paradise Valley and its menu of mixologist creations, it just might rival that grassy backyard, for both dogs and owners.
