Cala Scottsdale is raising the bar – literally – with a new collection of over-the-top cocktails designed for sharing and savoring. These pours come with theatrical presentations, luxe ingredients, and all the coastal glamour Cala is known for, making them perfect centerpieces for a night out with friends.
The new Luxe Cocktail Menu leans into spectacle in the best possible way. One standout, Shore Thing, is a tequila-driven drink poured over a frozen fruit sphere and topped with a delicate, shimmering bubble that’s popped right at the table. Pearlfection brings a moment of opulence with champagne and caviar revealed inside a grand clam shell.
Coastal Currency combines blood orange, botanical Monkey47 gin and silky Martell Blue Swift cognac, topped with Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut and finished with a splash of San Pellegrino CIAO Blood Orange, served in an elegant punch bowl with plenty to go around.
Smoke Show adds a moody twist as Código Origen tequila and Lillet Rouge are slow-dripped over ice using an absinthe fountain, complete with warm cinnamon-cherry wood smoke for an aromatic flourish.
And High Tide & Rye blends Jefferson’s Ocean bourbon and Midleton Very Rare 2023 with passion fruit and lemon, poured tableside over a floral ice cube that melts into a bright, coastal-leaning finish.
The food menu is getting a refresh of its own, with new dishes that pair beautifully with the cocktails. Cala’s latest additions include an herb roasted chicken with whipped potatoes, sautéed spinach, pancetta lardons and cipollini onion jus, as well as a decadent truffle strozzapretti made with black truffle fonduta, mascarpone, fontina, Italian sausage and foraged mushrooms.
Fresh, lighter options like the honeycrisp & frisée salad bring together apples, grapes, spiced pecans, pickled shallot and smoked blue cheese under a cider vinaigrette, while the pan seared salmon arrives with farro, butternut squash, Tuscan kale, citrus, chermoula and beurre blanc.
