UnderTow, the award-winning immersive tiki bar with locations in Phoenix and Gilbert, is turning up the heat this summer with a spirited new promotion called Battle of the Booze. Designed as a social media-based competition, the campaign invites followers to vote via Instagram stories to determine which of three featured cocktails will be offered at 50 percent off for the following month.
Currently, guests can enjoy the Three Star Harbor for just $9 throughout June. The cocktail is a vibrant mix of rum, green banana, falernum, cream sherry, yuzu, lemon, and ube, offering layers of tropical complexity that align with UnderTow’s signature style. Voting for July’s discounted drink runs through June 30, with the winner announced on July 1.
“Battle of the Booze came to life as a way to connect with our guests and give them a real stake in the UnderTow experience,” said Mat Snapp, Executive Vice President of Operations at Barter & Shake. “It’s a fun, interactive way to keep summer exciting, while celebrating the cocktails our guests love the most.”
Each month, the bar selects three cocktails to compete for the coveted half-price feature. For July, fans can choose between a Macadamia Nut Piña Colada, Blue Hawaii, and Lei Lani Volcano. August’s contenders – open for voting July 15 to 31 – will include a Passion Fruit Mojito, Tropical Itch, and a frozen cocktail dubbed Come Hell or High Water.
“The three cocktails selected each month for the battle are thoughtfully chosen and taken into consideration with the change in weather. They are punchy, juicy, vibrant and refreshing to ensure guests can enjoy a tasty cocktail in the triple-digit Arizona summer,” Snapp added.
