Horses and Horsepower in Scottsdale this Saturday

This weekend, Scottsdale’s newest signature event comes to Westworld. The Second Annual Scottsdale Polo Championships promises to be an even bigger extravaganza than last year’s inaugural event. It is the place to see and be seen this weekend.

Those craving eye candy of the vehicular sort will have plenty of opportunity to indulge that desire. With the theme Horses and Horsepower, the Polo Championships sets the stage for the 42nd annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction, with a preview of the some of the fabulous vehicles that will cross the auction block in January. Local Lamborghini and Ferrari clubs will bring their under-the-hood horses to line the playing field.

If you’d like to show off your own ride, Tailgating tickets, presented by Turf Paradise, are available. For $100 per vehicle, you can sidle up field-side to enjoy the match from the comfort of your own tailgate.

Gates open at 10 a.m., and matches take place at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets range from $15 for general admission to $250 for an all-access pass for the best parking, parties and seats in the shade. For tickets and information, visit thepoloparty.com.
