Woman Looks and Feels 10 Years Younger After Drinking Enough Water

Drinking water on a frequent basis may seem like a health and beauty no-brainer, however it’s one that many of us tend to forget. From eliminating waste to flushing toxins from vital organs, every part of our body depends on water, with our skin being the best external indicator of how hydrated (or dehydrated) we really are.

After years of excruciating headaches and poor digestion, a woman in the UK decided to document her experience drinking three liters of water each day for 28 days. In a thoughtful essay for the Daily Mail, 42-year-old Sarah Smith said that she barely drank a liter of water daily, admitting that she seemed to look 52 years old in photos when she was not consuming enough water.

“There are dark shadows under and around my eyes, which make me look exhausted, a profusion of wrinkles and strange reddish blotches, and my skin lacks any lustre. It looks dead,” she wrote about her before photo, seen below.

By the end of the four weeks, Smith’s wrinkles, redness and dark under-eye circles gave way to radiant, even-toned skin that emitted a youthful glow. Smith also reported improvement in her digestion, energy levels and cognition, while also losing 2 pounds and one inch off of her waist.

“I feel fitter, leaner and healthier, and my husband and friends tell me I look ten years younger,” she said.

Keep in mind that the only lifestyle factor Smith changed was her water intake. I’d say that Smith’s transformation is an example of how drinking water on a consistent basis is the best and easiest way to general health, well-being and beauty, on the inside and out.
