Tempe Marketplace is welcoming four new tenants and adding more than 150,000 square feet of retail space to its lineup. The expansion features the highly anticipated arrival of Sam’s Club, along with Carhartt, Lovisa Jewelry, and Relive Med Spa – each enhancing the center’s mix of shopping and services.
“The addition of these new tenants, particularly Sam’s Club with its cutting-edge, technology-driven store format, alongside first-to-market brands like Carhartt, brings significant energy and value to Tempe Marketplace,” said Taylor Alvey, vice president of leasing at Vestar. “We’re proud to continue curating a dynamic mix of retailers that elevate the overall guest experience.”
Sam’s Club has officially kicked off its two-phase opening in Tempe, with the members-only fuel station open as of June 13. The second phase opening is just around the corner, scheduled for early August.
This new location will offer an enhanced shopping experience with high-tech features, including Scan & Go checkout and computer vision-powered exits. Members can use the Scan & Go feature in the Sam’s Club app to scan items as they shop, while computer vision technology verifies purchases as they exit, making for a faster and more seamless visit.
Once open, Sam’s Club will offer a curated selection of quality fresh food, Member’s Mark® items, general merchandise, pharmacy and optical services, tire and battery center savings, and much more.
Also coming soon is Carhartt, marking the brand’s first retail presence in the Phoenix metro area. Slated to open in late 2025, the 6,000+ square-foot store will offer Carhartt’s iconic durable workwear, trusted by both tradespeople and outdoor adventurers alike.
Lovisa Jewelry is now open and bringing a fresh, on-trend style to the district. Located next to Handel’s Ice Cream, the fast-fashion jewelry brand debuts more than 100 new styles each week, offering affordable pieces within a boutique-style shopping experience.
Opening this fall, Relive Med Spa will provide over 2,000 square feet of personalized wellness and aesthetic care. The spa will offer services such as hormone therapy, IV treatments, Botox, dermal fillers, and laser treatments — all aimed at helping clients feel and look their best.
