How often do you jump out of your comfort zone? I have to admit, I’m a bit of a comfort zone sissy. I love the safety of the known. Yes, even when it comes to food and fitness. In volleyball, I stick to my safe underhand serve instead of the more aggressive overhand. In yoga, I desperately want to learn how to do a headstand (and handstand), but when it’s time to go upside-down in class, I wuss out. At restaurants, I usually order the same thing over and over and over again. A couple years ago, I even declared I wasn’t going to attempt any new sports.
And I was okay with all of the above, until I saw this…
Funny how one simple illustration can make you wake up and smell the… rancid smell of comfort. My comfort zones are keeping me from doing a yoga headstand. My comfort zones are keeping me from ordering something exotic off the menu. My comfort zones are keeping me from mastering my overhand serve. My comfort zones are holding me back from the magic. So I’ve vowed to do something out of my comfort zone every single day for a week – And I want you to join me!
