HomeFabulosity by Corbin Chamberlin › Fabulosity: Meet Famed Fashion Illustrator Jessica Repetto

Through a transformative spy-glass, Fashion Illustrator Jessica Repetto lets us into her creative mind with sketches of the most beautiful fashion in the world. The visions on paper done by Jessica tread the line of alien-like with exaggerated silhouettes, abstract perspectives and an overall dream-like state. Even with this unique take on illustration, Jessica never fails to capture the beauty, elegance and bliss. I fancy most of her live-sketches done directly from the runway. As the collection is being presented, Jessica immediately apprehends the crowning-part of each outfit such as a neckline, a long lean line or bold color in a no-boundaries state of furious drawing.

Born in Worcester Massachusetts, Jessica was first published by Vogue Italia while she was still in school.

“I first realized I was bound to work in fashion at a very young age. I was very interested in fabric, clothes, and accessories at a young age," said Jessica. "I was always drawing, painting, building architectural models, performing, making films, and very insistent on dressing myself. Often we received many packages of clothing sent from family in Italy, and I instantly recognized the difference of what quality was. Being an extreme observer, I cultivated that along with the help of my parents. They let me express who I was and what I wanted to do through clothing, color and all sorts of design in general."

WWD reported that Jessica and famed fashionista, Olivia Palermo, have teamed up to design a collection. This move is no surprise as the taste level of these two individuals is stupendous. Jessica declined to comment on details of working with Olivia. In addition to this collaboration on a new women's line, Jessica is working on her own men's collection. I can speak for all fashion-friendly men out there that I would love to see someone as creative and eclectic as Jessica design for men. Jessica said it will debut this fall and will "exhibit very elegant and visual clothing for men.”
