Formulated With Care

In its determination to challenge the status quo and create a roadmap for a happier future, Idôle l’Intense is based on raw materials obtained from sustainable sources and custom-composed for Lancôme using unique extraction methods. 

The Isparta rose petal essence, sourced from Turkey, is part of a sustainable development project begun in 2018. The project is certified For Life, which is a certification program for companies that meet specific social responsibility criteria. The project works to improve the industry’s positive impact on society, the economy, and the environment, as well as provide recognition for the role of over 100 women involved in its production.

The patchouli heart note, from the Island of Sulawesi in Indonesia, comes from farmers trained to optimize their agricultural practices and modernize infrastructure to reduce energy consumption. An extraction and processing method developed exclusively for Lancôme unlocks the earthiness of patchouli, revealing accents of cocoa and leather over an amber-tinged base note.

The sourcing project promotes a business model that empowers farmers by buying their patchouli oil instead of patchouli leaves, therefore encouraging the desirability of patchouli as a crop and supporting local industry. 

The Madagascar Bourbon vanilla infusion is also sustainably sourced and exclusively crafted for Lancôme. This consciously sourced, the premium infusion is obtained through a breakthrough extraction technology that allows the capture of the complete organoleptic profile at the heart of the raw material. 

The result is a delicious vanilla note with balsamic tonalities.
