IDÔLE L’INTENSE – Ignite Your Success, Make the World Shine
In 2019 Lancôme created Idôle, a best-selling fragrance, inspired by today’s generation of women who are challenging societal norms and rewriting their own rulebook on success. From its fresh clean trail to its iconic bottle, Idôle sets a new paradigm in the world of fragrances.
One year later, the captivating essence of Idôle returns – this time, bolder, braver and with a powerful mission behind it. Capturing the unstoppable momentum of today’s female trailblazers, Idôle l’Intense fuses its predecessor’s “Clean and Glow” accord with a more sensual, more flamboyant Chypre floral scent.
Idôle l’Intense is a symbol – like a torch passed from one woman to another – that fuels the dream of success on her own terms. Idôle l’Intense stands for one simple message: Together we can, together we will: I can, we will.
Formulated With Care
In its determination to challenge the status quo and create a roadmap for a happier future, Idôle l’Intense is based on raw materials obtained from sustainable sources and custom-composed for Lancôme using unique extraction methods.
The Isparta rose petal essence, sourced from Turkey, is part of a sustainable development project begun in 2018. The project is certified For Life, which is a certification program for companies that meet specific social responsibility criteria. The project works to improve the industry’s positive impact on society, the economy, and the environment, as well as provide recognition for the role of over 100 women involved in its production.
The patchouli heart note, from the Island of Sulawesi in Indonesia, comes from farmers trained to optimize their agricultural practices and modernize infrastructure to reduce energy consumption. An extraction and processing method developed exclusively for Lancôme unlocks the earthiness of patchouli, revealing accents of cocoa and leather over an amber-tinged base note.
The sourcing project promotes a business model that empowers farmers by buying their patchouli oil instead of patchouli leaves, therefore encouraging the desirability of patchouli as a crop and supporting local industry.
The Madagascar Bourbon vanilla infusion is also sustainably sourced and exclusively crafted for Lancôme. This consciously sourced, the premium infusion is obtained through a breakthrough extraction technology that allows the capture of the complete organoleptic profile at the heart of the raw material.
The result is a delicious vanilla note with balsamic tonalities.
Zendaya – The Face of a New Community
In the new Idôle L’Intense campaign, Zendaya stands defiant, a glimmering bottle of Idôle l’Intense in her hand, celebrating the power of women. She depicts a woman who builds on her own success, using it as a catalyst to unite and inspire the women around her.
When passing the blazing torch from woman to woman, the result is an unstoppable, self-regenerating force for good. A shining bottle of Idôle l’Intense is held up to the sky in celebration of the message: Together we can, together we will.
