Are you currently in a relationship where you and your significant other have talked about a future together? Maybe you haven’t exactly discussed marriage or engagement rings, but you would love to break the ice in a safe environment. Perhaps you’re already engaged, but you cannot decide what wedding band or bands to pair with your diamond ring. Or how about you’re married and expecting a baby; a push present might be in your near future!
If you can relate to any of the above scenarios, I highly suggest marking yours and your significant other’s calendars for Monday, November 13th, 2017. Stop by anytime between 6pm and 8pm at Robbins Brothers in North Scottsdale at the Promenade. I will be in attendance to host the stress-free event for a select group of couples.
When my husband and I were shopping for my engagement ring, I felt excited, overwhelmed and pressured to buy whatever the sales person was throwing at me. What I really wanted was a special moment between my future fiance and myself to figure out what diamond and ring style we liked together and what we could afford, without feeling like a burden to the sales person. Neither of us had any idea about the cost of diamonds or what kind of diamond we would want. In discussing my pain points with Robbins Brothers, this event was born.
I’ve had multiple friends tell me how stressful it is to plan a wedding and that it starts even before they’re engaged. In thinking about what would make an engagement ring and wedding ring shopping experience more relaxed and less stressful, I thought about being pampered, and of course wine, lots of wine! At this upcoming event, there will be five different stations for you and your date to explore while also discovering what kind of diamond ring, wedding band, or push present you might want one day. The first station is a Sommelier-guided wine tasting and food pairings station by Samantha Sommelier. Next, there is a braid bar by hair magicians Lauren and Sam, who can show you the latest braid styles or create magic on your own head. Erica from June Pearl Beauty will be offering mini-makeovers, so come ready for a bold lip, cat eyes or beautifully bronzed skin. In case your man doesn’t want braids and a makeover, together you can relax with a calming hand treatment from Dermalogica in Scottsdale. Lastly, a variety of cupcakes from Sweets by Andrea Croci will be available for your tastebuds and Core water to wash it all down.
To top off the event, we will have multiple raffles available to guests who attend the event. If you’re only able to pop in for a few minutes, you do not have to be present to win the raffles and you can choose which raffle you’d prefer to be entered in. Without giving away too much, here are a few of the prizes you can win:
- Robbins Brothers is giving away a gift valued at $500.
- BODI is raffling off a “Couples Who Sweat Together, Stay Together” prize pack including an unlimited month membership for one lucky couple.
- June Pearl Beauty will have a free makeup session with a beauty prize pack to give away.
- Barre3 has donated a month unlimited membership to be used at either the Scottsdale or Paradise Valley location.
- Flower Bar will have gorgeous floral arrangements for a couple lucky guests to take home.
- Clay Crafter Catchall Dishes are the perfect holder for a new ring or two.
Each couple will receive a gift bag filled with items from local businesses to assist you in your special day. If you miss out on one of the raffle prizes, you might luck out with a special offer in your gift bag instead. Gift bag items include vendors already mentioned as well as Mountain Shadows resort, AZ Foothills, and others!
Since waiting in lines to talk to a diamond educator isn’t exactly the most fun thing to do, we have decided to make this a private event in order to keep it as intimate as possible. I realize that not everyone is sharing with their friends and family that they are shopping for rings with their significant other as to keep it a surprise for everyone, so we respect your privacy. Kate Nelle Photography and Rachel Baker Videography will be on hand photographing the event, however at check-in there will be photo release forms and each guest can respectfully decline the option for photos.
“Shopping For Rings Together?! We’re More Traditional Than That.”
Also, if your significant other is out of town or is possibly a bit on the traditional side, feel free to bring a friend so that you can get a good understanding of what ring style you like. That way your friend can nonchalantly report back to your significant other.
