Roll Call Brings a Chef-Driven Sushi Experience to Weeknights

A new midweek dining experience is giving sushi lovers a reason to rethink their Tuesday and Wednesday plans. Designed as a more intimate, chef-driven offering, “Roll Call” at Phoenix’s Across the Pond introduces a curated menu that highlights standout selections from the kitchen alongside your choice of cocktails, creating a thoughtfully paced evening centered on flavor and discovery.

With just 10 seatings available each night, the experience leans into exclusivity, making it well-suited for date nights or small celebrations. Each reservation, priced at $85 for two guests, includes a generous spread: a choice of six nigiri – featuring options like the iconic coffee-cured salmon – alongside chef-selected assorted sashimi, a house roll of choice and either two limited-edition cocktails or a bottle of sparkling sake.

Beyond the curated menu, Roll Call also offers an introduction to the culinary perspective of Chef Esther Boado, who recently joined the team. Her influence brings new energy to the menu, with specialty dishes inspired by her Filipino heritage, giving returning guests and first-timers alike something fresh to explore.

Blending approachability with a sense of occasion, Roll Call offers a more personalized way to experience the restaurant’s evolving menu. Reservations are available through OpenTable, with limited seating reinforcing the experience’s intimate, reservation-only appeal. Learn more at Across the Pond.
