There’s something special happening in Arcadia – and it smells like crispy bacon, sizzling smash burgers, and sweet apple crumble. That’s right, The Original Arcadia Tavern is back, reimagined and ready to welcome locals and visitors with open arms, mouthwatering food, and the kind of laid-back vibe that made it a neighborhood legend in the first place.
Originally opened in 2009, The Original Arcadia Tavern quickly became a favorite among sports fans, families, and style-savvy locals who knew a great hangout when they saw one.
“This is the same team that launched the original Arcadia Tavern in 2009. The name still brings a smile to neighborhood faces and we’re excited to deliver an updated version,” said S. Barrett Rinzler, CEO and founder of Square One Concepts, the culinary force behind hotspots like Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers (which is where the new Tavern is – in the former CBC building at 40th St. and Indian School Road).
The revamped space is welcoming yet elevated, designed with comfort in mind. Guests can enjoy a generous patio with direct views of the ever-buzzing East Indian School Road. Inside, HD screens line the walls for catching the latest sports action, while easy complimentary valet makes dining out just a little more effortless. Prefer to pedal in? New bicycle racks make it simple to ride over and park at your favorite local hangout.
The new menu is packed with scratch-made dishes that bring together comfort classics and bold new flavors. Start with shareables like the crave-worthy skillet cornbread – crispy on the edges, moist in the center, and served with apple butter and local honey – or dive into a plate of Four Peaks nachos piled high.
Grilled drumettes come sauced in your choice of buffalo, teriyaki, golden mustard, or BBQ, while the lighter hummus plate brings a cool, creamy balance.
Burger fans, rejoice! The Original Arcadia Tavern is serving up four different double patty smash burgers. From the classic Tavern smash with American cheese and dill pickles to the fiery Inferno smash burger with jalapeños, spicy mayo, and onion strings, there’s a burger for every taste. Pair yours with crinkle-cut fries or upgrade to onion rings, tots, or even grilled asparagus if you’re feeling fancy.
Sandwiches are equally impressive—and even come with a side of generosity. The Thunderbird hot chicken sandwich and the Charro chicken sandwich each donate $1 to their respective charities, making every bite taste even better. You’ll also find hearty favorites like The Camelback Club, loaded with sliced turkey, crispy bacon, avocado, and white cheddar on your choice of sourdough or wheat.
For those craving a full entrée, there’s no shortage of options. Spaghetti and meatballs, southern fried chicken, miso and soy-glazed grilled salmon and baby back ribs are available all day, every day.
Bringing the kiddos? On Tuesdays, kids eat free (12 & under) with the purchase of an adult entrée, and the menu includes chicken tenders, mac & cheese, and cheeseburger sliders, served with fries and a drink.
And of course, no meal is complete without dessert. Indulge in the decadent bourbon apple crumble, topped with vanilla bean ice cream, caramel, and almonds, or the nostalgic skillet cookie served warm with a generous scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
The Original Arcadia Tavern is also rolling out a weekend brunch and a cocktail menu to keep the vibes flowing. Born in 2009 and reimagined in 2025, The Original Arcadia Tavern is where food, friends, and community come together. Because here in Arcadia, it’s all good in the hood!
