The Delicatessen Opens Its Doors with a Special Tribute to Active First Responders

The Delicatessen, a fun new concept paying homage to classic New York Jewish-style delis, officially opened its doors today in North Phoenix.

Located at 12811 N. Tatum Blvd., the eatery offers an immersive dining experience complete with mile-high hand-carved sandwiches, a bagel bar, and a nostalgic diner-inspired design.

To mark its grand opening week, The Delicatessen will honor all active first responders with 50 percent off their entire bill on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The special promotion serves as a heartfelt thank-you to those who serve and protect the community.

Spearheaded by award-winning chef and restaurateur Joey Maggiore, The Delicatessen delivers a reimagined take on traditional deli fare. Guests can expect hand-carved sandwiches stacked high with house-cooked meats like smoky pastrami and house-cured corned beef, along with a one-of-a-kind bagel bar offering more than 25 spread and topping combinations, from sweet cheesecake and Fruity Pebbles cream cheese to savory options like smoked salmon and pastrami.

Diners can also indulge in bakery favorites such as black-and-white cookies and slices of chocolate cake. Adding to the immersive experience are a custom fountain soda bar, traditional New York egg creams, and a retro interior designed by Cristina Maggiore, blending vintage charm with modern energy.

The Delicatessen is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For more information, visit thedelicatessen.com.
