Over Easy has two special flavors of flapjacks in honor of National Pancake Day (Feb. 13) and Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) (pictured). The banana bread pancakes, topped with sliced bananas, toasted pecans and maple syrup, for National Pancake Day are available at all Over Easy locations while the red velvet pancakes, drizzled with cream cheese icing, strawberries and blueberries, for Valentine’s Day will only be at the Arcadia and Biltmore restaurants.
Tammie Coe Cakes is dishing up beautiful and decadent offerings in honor of Valentine’s Day. Snooze, an AM Eatery celebrates National Pancake Day on Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cisit any Valley Snooze location for a special National Pancake Day menu of from-scratch, highly creative pancakes (like A Great Pear with spiced pears, Just in Queso cornmeal pancakes and a Whiskey-infused buttermilk pancake, to name a few) for $3.75 each.
National Drink Wine Day is Feb. 18 and to celebrate Sorso Wine Room at the Scottsdale Quarter is offering wine lovers half off select bottles all day.
Set your DVR: Tempe-based Santa Barbara Catering will be represented this season on Food Network’s “Chopped” by Executive Sous Chef Marissa Delgado. The episode premiers on Food Network on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 8 p.m. MST. Good luck, Chef Delgado!
At the next installment of ZuZu’s Monday Night Chef’s Table at Hotel Valley H0 on Feb. 19, mingle with executive chef Russell LaCasce and his friends from Opolo Vineyards. This monthly event held thoughtfully pairs wines or spirits with four courses. The February menu includes pepper crusted beef carpaccio, spiced duck with watercress salad, bacon wrapped filet of beef, and warm pear and brie tart. Explore four wines from Opolo, one of the newest and most exciting labels out of Paso Robles, California. (Other upcoming dinners include Rombauer Vineyards on March 26 and Hess Collection Winery on April 16.) Each event is $75 per person and starts at 6:30 p.m.
Chef Justin Beckett of Southern Rail invites guests to celebrate Fat Tuesday with a special Mardi Gras menu which will be available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Dig into the festive King Cake, New Orleans signature whiskey cocktails, Chef’s signature jambalaya and more.
The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is partnering with Chipotle Mexican Grill to raise money for the Museum with a one-day fundraising event on Tuesday, Feb. 13. From 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., every Arizona Chipotle restaurant will donate 50 percent of fundraiser sales directly back to the Children’s Museum. Simply mention the Children’s Museum of Phoenix to the cashier before payment.
