Oct. 7: Arizona’s First Mac & Cheese Festival

This fall is turning out to be pretty cheesy–much in part thanks to Arizona’s inaugural Mac & Cheese Festival taking place along the Scottsdale Waterfront on Saturday, Oct. 7 from noon to 7 p.m.
The highly anticipated event will feature mac and cheese creations from more than 20 Valley restaurants and local craft brews from 10-plus local breweries. (A tasty sneak peek: Two Brothers Brewery and Tap House will serve its pimento mac and cheese, paired with its own Pinball Pale Ale.) During the Home Chef S’Mac Down, the top three Big Cheese and Little Cheese chefs who submitted videos of their mouthwatering mac and cheese recipes will complete on the big stage inside the Demo Tent. The Grand Prize winner in each category will be awarded with the prestigious Golden Noodle trophy, along with a prize package valued at $500, and, of course, endless bragging rights.
If they need a break from all the cheesy goodness, festival-goers can enjoy mixing and mingling on the Big Cheese Game Deck, complete with backyard games like ping pong, cornhole and Giant Jenga.
Tickets for the Mac & Cheese Festival begin at $15 for entry into the festival, with a variety of food and drink ticket packages sold separately. There are also VIP experience tickets available for $75 that includes early entry at 11 a.m., five drink tickets, 15 food tickets and access to the VIP Lounge and private Royal Restrooms.
All ticket, food and drink packages are available online now at http://macandcheesefestaz.com. (Tickets may also be purchased at the gate the day of the Mac & Cheese Festival.)
