On June 1, America’s Taco Shop hosts Carne for a Cause. The Valley-based restaurants are giving back to Phoenix Children’s Hospital by donating 20 percent of all proceeds that day.
“The Desert Stangs” Mustang Club will be cruising to Tom’s Thumb Market on Scottsdale on Saturday, June 1 for Hot Rods & Happy Hour. Beer and wine by the glass is discounted by $1 during happy hour.
On Sunday, June 2 from 5-8 p.m., the Art of Raw party will feature a fashion show inside Sushi Roku at W Scottsdale, showcasing the latest looks from G-Star RAW and Diane’s Beachwear. Guests can also enjoy music from DJ P-body, happy hour pricing all night long, and anyone attending will be automatically entered to win prizes, like dinner for four at Sushi Roku and a stay at W Scottsdale. Starting June 5, the Grown-Ups Table series is back every Wednesday (except July 3 and 10) at Beckett’s Table to treat 16 diners to a special three-course meal. During Grown-Ups Table, the community table will be filled with family-style dishes and wine, all following a particular theme, which will be announced the day of on Facebook, keeping diners on their toes. Themes from previous years include Spanish Tapas, Baja Peninsula, Asian Wok and more. Dinners are $39.
Tempe-based Cookies From Home is giving away a year’s worth of cookies through a photo contest on their Facebook page. All you have to do is submit/upload a photo of yourself with a cookie by June 5 to be entered. The winner be will be selected on June 7. www.facebook.com/cookiesfromhome.
A new $22 dinner menu showcasing creative new American-inspired entrées has launched at Phoenix’s District American Kitchen and Wine Bar. The new dinner menu features innovative culinary creations, locally sourced ingredients and dishes infused with flavor. The new menu includes fried green tomatoes, “Street Corn” soup, Hudson Valley duck carbonara, pan-roasted salmon (pictured), Arizona citrus mint gelati, and much more.
