The new shop is the creation of 21-year-old Izaak Wontorski, a Fountain Hills local whose passion for ice cream was born out of post-hockey game traditions and a personal quest for the best scoops across the country.
“Ice cream was always the go-to celebration,” Wontorski explained. “After traveling and tasting different styles, I knew the richness and quality of Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream needed to make its way to Arizona.”
Snowbird Ice Cream Co. is proud to partner with the Chocolate Shoppe of Madison, Wisconsin, known for its indulgent, super-premium ice cream. With flavors crafted using small-batch recipes and top-tier ingredients like Madagascar vanilla and ultra-dark Zanzibar chocolate, this ice cream stands out for its dense, creamy texture. After taste testing and research, Wontorski and his team knew this was the perfect match.
The shop’s menu has a rotating selection of flavors that include favorites like Old Fashioned Vanilla, Zanzibar Chocolate, Apple Cider Donut, Blackberry Lemon Bar, and Mango Untamed. Whether you’re craving something classic or adventurous, there’s something to suit every palate.
Snowbird occupies an 860-square-foot space that merges modern design with local artistry. The interior reflects a minimal aesthetic, anchored by a mural created by Laura Thurbon in collaboration with the Inspiration Academy.
